Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LeanPPC (the "Service"), a Shopify application that sets up and manages Google Ads infrastructure for online stores. By installing or using LeanPPC, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

1. Who we are

LeanPPC is operated by the LeanPPC team ("LeanPPC", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@leanppc.io.

2. What the Service does

LeanPPC connects your Shopify store to Google in order to:

• audit your store against Google Merchant Center requirements;
• create or link your Google Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts;
• install and verify conversion tracking for purchases on your store;
• generate and maintain a product feed from your catalogue;
• create and configure advertising campaigns on your behalf.

3. Advertising spend is yours, and it is paid to Google

You set your own budgets and you are solely responsible for the amounts you spend. We surface suggested budgets, but a suggestion is not a cap, a commitment, or advice. You should monitor your Google Ads account.

4. Eligibility and your accounts

To use the Service you must have an active Shopify store and be authorised to act on its behalf. You must also connect a Google account with the permissions the Service requires.

You are responsible for the security of your Shopify and Google accounts, and for everything done through them. You may revoke our access at any time from your Google account settings or by disconnecting from within the app — doing so will stop the Service from functioning.

5. Third-party services

The Service depends on Shopify and Google. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and your advertising must comply with their policies, including the Google Ads policies and the Merchant Center policies.

Google may reject, suspend, or remove your accounts, campaigns, or products for reasons outside our control. We are not responsible for those decisions and cannot guarantee approval.

6. Subscription and billing

The Service is offered on a monthly subscription, billed through Shopify's billing system and charged to your Shopify account. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe. Any free trial or promotional code is applied at checkout and on the terms stated at that time.

You may cancel at any time by uninstalling the app or cancelling the subscription from your Shopify admin. Cancellation stops future charges; charges already incurred are not refunded except where required by law. Cancelling LeanPPC does not stop your Google Ads campaigns — you must pause or remove those in Google Ads.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to advertise products or services prohibited by Google or Shopify;
• misrepresent your store, your identity, or your business;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or to other users' data;
• interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

8. Your data

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your store data and your Google account data remain yours. We access them only to operate the Service.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, belongs to LeanPPC. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your subscription is active.

Content generated for your campaigns — ad copy, feed data, campaign settings — is yours to use, keep, and modify, including after you stop using the Service.

10. No guarantee of results

Advertising performance depends on your products, prices, market, competition, and Google's systems. We do not promise any level of traffic, sales, conversion rate, return on ad spend, or account approval. Any figures shown in the app or on our website are illustrative, not commitments.

11. Availability, suspension and termination

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features, and may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by Shopify, Google, or applicable law.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including sections 3, 9, 12, 13, and 15 — continue to apply.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. This does not exclude warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any statutory rights consumers may have.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LeanPPC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or advertising spend.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify LeanPPC against claims arising from your use of the Service, your advertising, the products you sell, or your breach of these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, without affecting any mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence.
